Podcast with host Dennis Crowley
Episode 12 of the Food Rights Hour podcast is about David Gumpert’s newest book, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Food Rights: The Escalating Battle Over Who Decides What We Eat. During this episode, our first-time host, Dennis Crowley, and popular author, journalist and blogger, David Gumpert, discuss:
- Why has food safety gotten so much attention in the past twenty years?
- How are the powers that be trying to incriminate farmers with secret, undercover investigations?
- Is there sufficient evidence for the so-called food safety crisis?
- Is the government trying to protect its citizens by cracking down on direct farm-to-consumer sales?
- Is there a possibility of a dialogue between governmental agencies and food rights folks like Gumpert and food rights organizations like FTCLDF?
