Leadership Update

By Alexia Kulwiec | October 26, 2026

Changes at Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund:

After seven years as Executive Director of Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, Alexia Kulwiec is stepping down. Today, October 27, 2026, FTCLDF named Christine Dzujna Interim Director, effective November 1. Christine brings years of experience providing legal guidance and policy support to FTCLDF members and currently serves as Policy Director and Legal Services Manager.

Christine wishes to share that “We are sorry to lose such a strong and dedicated leader who has led our organization so well for years.  I am honored to step in and support FTCLDF while we undertake a search for a new Executive Director.  The entire FTCLDF team is committed to maintaining the high level of support and services our members and partners have come to rely on and to ensuring a smooth transition.”

Today, FTCLDF posted a notice seeking a new full-time Executive Director. To see the position description and apply, please visit this page.

Alexia shares, “I have immensely enjoyed and learned a great deal as Executive Director of FTCLDF. I am more committed than ever to the creation of a more just food system in which consumers have the ability to find healthy food grown and produced in their community, and in which small independent producers can flourish. While I no longer felt I had the capacity to lead as Executive Director, I am thrilled to remain in the FTCLCF community as Senior Legal Advisor. I am looking forward to being a part of FTCLDF’s future.”
