The first Monday of each month is Member Monday where we feature member photos or a video on our Instagram and Facebook pages. Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF) is proud of our members, and we take great pleasure in highlighting their operations and the awesome work they are conducting in sustainable farming, animal husbandry, artisanal production, and homesteading.
Brookvale Mercantile
Brookvale Mercantile in Brentwood, N.H. was started by Brenda Barthelemy and family as a natural extension of Brookvale Pines Farm.
“We took a chance and bought some land that attached to our farm that has road frontage on major state route 125 in Brentwood. The little farm store became Brookvale Mercantile,” said Barthelemy. “We thought it would be great to sell our own raw milk, beef, pork, chicken and eggs, plus other products from area family farms.
“We believe that the animals and land should be connected the way nature intended. Having a connection to the food you eat and knowing how it was raised helps us make healthier food choices,” she said.
Brookvale Mercantile has an ever-changing selection of local products ranging from meats, maple syrup, honey, granola, jellies, soaps, and even ice cream! The mercantile is always looking for new, local products the public will enjoy.
Please support your local, independent farmers, ranchers, homesteaders and cottage food makers with your dollars, kind words, and shares!
