Save Your Farmer! Save Your Bacon Weekend Giveaway

The Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund hosts a benefactor’s bash at Polyface Farm every year. This event is exciting, casual and inspiring. The things you’ll see and learn and the people you’ll meet are well worth the trip to Swoope, Virginia (2.5 hours south of Washington DC). A big tent is pitched in the back pasture, and a farm fresh breakfast and lunch is served, with an in-depth hay wagon tour led by Joel himself. It’s a family friendly event and the children have a great time.
Joel Salatin Shares Laughter and Love of Farming
This year, the event is going to be bigger and better, with lots of ways for people to participate.
The Paleo community is coming out strong in support of farm food freedom issues, so this year we are inviting the Paleo community to join with us in the Celebration! at Polyface and other Save Your Bacon events focusing on Paleo lifestyle.
We are building a strong alliance with the Paleo community, as they are leading proponents of grass-based agriculture and whole foods eating. Folks from all diet persuasions, whether Paleo, WAPF or Real Food can meet at the table to agree that farms like Joel Salatin’s Polyface are the way to future health and rural prosperity.
These FundRAISERS are how the Fund fills its coffers for the years of litigation ahead to keep our farms free. So the price of some tickets is relatively high. This year, we’ve created a couple of price breaks to make it more accessible.
- You can buy the entire Save Your Bacon Weekend package at a discount of up to $80.
