Online Petitions and Action Alerts are a chief means of generating grassroots efforts to participate in the lawmaking process at both the federal and state level. Below are links to current initiatives to influence decision makers.
Online Petitions Fax or Email Legislators
Simply enter your email, name and address to send a personalized message to your legislators. Depending on the setup (as indicated), your message may be sent by email or by fax.
Invite others to make their voices heard. You may print a hardcopy version to collect signatures OR a handout to spread the word.
If you are a U.S. citizen living abroad, you may use the address of your last U.S. residence.
Note: You may send multiple messages, but your ‘signature’ will count only once.

Federal Petitions – 113th Congress, 2013-2014
Support Raw Milk Freedom Bills HB 4307 & HB 4308
Congressman Massie (R-KY), Chellie Pingree (D-ME) and a bipartisan coalition of 17 other lawmakers introduced legislation on March 26 to improve consumer food choices and to protect local farmers from federal interference. Add your comments to urge legislators to vote YES on both HB 4307 and HB 4308 in support of food freedom of choice.

TPP: Vote NO on the Trade Priorities Act of 2014 – Oppose Trans-Pacific Partnership

Support HB3 to allow cow shares (consumer-owned livestock) in Maryland. Add your comments to urge the Maryland House Committee on Health and Government Operations to vote YES on HB3 to allow access to raw milk through consumer-owned livestock boarding contracts.

Fax Petition: Rescind swine ISO
Stop the unjust slaughter of heritage breeds in Michigan, and potentially nationwide, by asking Michigan Governor Rick Snyder to order the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to rescind the swine Invasive Species Order (ISO) that infringes upon private property rights, criminalizes swine pet owners, threatens the livelihoods of small family farms and denies consumer freedom to obtain the pork of their choice. Vote YES on HB1089 Zoning Bill to clarify the law
Support Virginia zoning bill, HB 1089 by adding your comments to urge the Virginia House Counties, Cities and Towns Committee to help protect small farmers from local government overregulation by clarifying the meaning of “agricultural products” as already defined in VA statutes 3.2-6400. HB 1089 will help keep our small farmers from having to defend themselves in Court..
