The new documentary Farmageddon: The Unseen War on American Family Farms tells the story of how small family farms and private food buying clubs that provide safe, healthy foods to their communities are being forced to shut down, through harsh, sometimes extreme, actions of the FDA and state and local agencies. The film explores why these extreme actions are taking place across the country, unbeknownst to most Americans.

Following the Saturday, October 15th showing, a panel of local experts will discuss the issue from various angles and what can be done about it. The discussion will highlight the critical need to preserve our access to local, wholesome foods of all kinds, and what local and national efforts are underway to protect these fundamental rights.
There will also be a Silent Auction with some amazing items donated from local co-ops, acupuncturist, foodies and more to help raise money for the Food Freedom Project and the Farm-To-Consumer Legal Defense Fund.

In addition to litigation and beyond day-to-day member services, the Fund's work includes advising on state and federal legislation (see HR 1830 petition), as well as working on matters at the administrative level before federal and state agencies.
Emergency member services are available 24/7 through a hotline answering service. This benefit has been a legal lifeline to farmers, buying clubs and even for consumers facing government enforcement action.
