Right now, today, in America if not the world, no single organization represents freedom to choose the food of our choice from the source of our choice like the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF).

Here at Polyface, we've already used the legal services of this non-profit group three times in three years. Modeled after the Home School Legal Defense Association that absolutely secured freedom for the home schooling option when parents were being thrown in jail for truancy violations and children confiscated by the state for being subject to parental abuse, this food freedom organization is offering real time legal counsel and representing farmers tyrannized and terrorized by food police.

This fledgling group of attorneys represents farmers, often pro bono, if the farmer has paid a $125 membership fee. Of course, since so few farmers exist anymore, FTCLDF really depends on non-farmers' much lower membership fees to carry the heavy financial load. You will not meet a more dedicated group of people, nor a group with more clarity about securing food freedom, than this group.

As you know, I'm not a joiner and almost never endorse isms because they seem to always get squirrely out around the edges. But FTCLDF is solid and desperately needed to protect our food system from being taken over by the USDA, FDA, Monsanto agenda, which if you're up on food and farming news lately, you know is heinous and aggressive. The American Food Inquisition is well under way and trust me, compost, multi-speciation, outdoor pasturing, and direct marketing are NOT appreciated by the industrial-government cartel.

Please add your voice to mine, your dollars to mine, and join today during this 2-week membership drive. Believe me, this is far more important than Nature Conservancy, Sierra Club, land preservation, People Magazine, ballet, and soccer--this is the future of our children's food choice and, ultimately, the landscape our grandchildren will inherit. This is righteous, sacred, noble work and I implore you to be a part of it.

Do not go to bed tonight until you've added your voice to food freedom. Here's the link: www.farmtoconsumer.org/member. When you join, tell them I sent you.
